It's Showtime!
Thanks to the support of our media partners Diva Publications and My Big Day Event Photography, we are able to share a flavour of some of our concerts and shows. Keep checking this page, you never know, they may capture you on film!
Absolute Bowie
In September 2013, the UK’s premier David Bowie tribute band joined us for an electrifying performance that no one, on or off stage, wanted to end as the audience chanted “Bowie” repeatedly.
Everything Buble
Our soulful summer season of concerts continued in July 2013 with Everything Bublé, a tribute to the multi-platinum selling Michael Bublé. It was a hot night, in every sense of the word (!), and he left the audience whooping for joy and demanding more.
The Rumble Band
In June 2013, the hugely popular Lincolnshire-based Rumble Band launched our first-ever season of summer concerts and lived up to their reputation by delivering a barnstorming performance. The 12-piece soul and Motown dance band, considered one of the best in the UK, delivered hit after hit; creating a night with a great party atmosphere.
The Billy Fury Years
In May 2013, fans of Billy Fury, regarded by many as Britain’s foremost rock n roller, travelled from as far away as Chesterfield and Selby for a special show commemorating the 30th anniversary of his untimely death. The Billy Fury Years featured Michael King in the guise of the legendary star, a superb backing band and a multi-media stage presentation. As in the lyrics of one of his songs, it was “like I’ve never been gone” and yes, at times, people did dab tears from their eyes.
Progression The Show
Take That and Robbie Williams together in Grimsby is perhaps stretching the bounds of probability but in April 2013, the Central Hall had the next best thing. Rule The World and Mike Andrew are not just any tribute acts; they enjoy the unique distinction of endorsements from the people they portray on stage. It doesn’t get any better than Gary Barlow describing Rule The World as “brilliant” or Robbie saying of Mike, “I don’t know where he starts and I end”. “Progression The Show” recreates the tour when all five members of Take That reunited on stage and it was a night when the Hall certainly rocked.
The Rat Pack Vegas Spectacular Show
For one night in March 2013, Grimsby Central Hall became the epitome of 1960’s Las Vegas hip and cool with wonderful memories of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jnr. The highly successful Rat Pack Vegas Spectacular Show transformed our stage, with a little imagination, into the world famous Sands Hotel. By the end of the night, the audience was whooping for joy and demanding more.
