SEAN SHIBE (Guitar)
Born in Edinburgh in 1992 Sean is the first guitarist to be admitted to the prestigious BBC New Generation Artist scheme and the only solo guitarist to have received a Borletti-Buitoni Trust Fellowship. Other awards include the Royal Overseas League First Prize and Gold Medal (2011) and the Ivor Mairants Guitar Awards (2009). Over the last two years Sean has appeared as a soloist with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, Scottish Chamber Orchestra, BBC National Orchestra of Wales and BBC Symphony Orchestra. Concert highlights include solo recitals at Wigmore Hall, Aldburgh and in Germany.
