FERIO SAXOPHONE QUARTET

Huw Wiggin who gave a stunning recital here in 2013 has formed an award-winning Ferio Saxophone Quartet, now emerging as one of the leading British ensembles. The quartet has won several awards including the 2015 Royal over-seas  League's Ensemble Competition and the Philharmonia Orchestra, Martin Musical Scholarship Ensemble Award. It has performed to great acclaim at places such as London's Southbank Centre, Conway Hall, Purcell Room, Wigmore Hall and at several important festivals.

Programme: Bach: Prelude and Fugue in G Minor; Francaix: Petit Quatour pour saxophones; Donizetti: Una urtiva Lagrima (fr. L'Elisir D'Amore; Bach: Italian Concerto; Grieg: Holberg Suite; Lago: Ciudades; Gregory: Hoedown.
