Concert Hire at The Central Hall

Roy Kemp Recital Hall:
Located on the first floor of the building, the Recital Hall is a more intimate venue for smaller concerts and performances. The hall offers a proscenium arch style stage measuring 25 x 25'

Seating is provided on one level using comfortable chairs, to accommodate a maximum audience of 170 persons.

Alternatively the hall can be arranged in a 'cafe' style with tables and chairs to accommodate up to 150 persons

Hospitality Suite:
A small hospitality room is available for entertaining guests.

Disabled Facilities:
The Central Hall has a stairlift enabling persons with mobility difficulties to access the Roy Kemp Hall and the Main Hall circle seating. Easy wheelchair access to ground floor and provision for wheelchairs in the stalls. Disabled toilet on ground floor.

Pianos:
The Central Hall has two grand pianos available for use at an extra charge. A Yamaha C3 is located in the Main Concert Hall and a Bosendorfer in the Roy Kemp Recital Hall. Upright rehearsal pianos are also available.

Main Concert Hall:
Regarded by many performers as one of the finest concert halls in the region, with superb acoustic qualities and an excellent audience seating arrangement.

The open plan stage / platform measuring 43 ' x 18' with three risers at the back, is large enough to accommodate full orchestras and large choirs.

The audience seating is arranged on three levels, accommodating a maximum audience of 677 persons. Front Circle 188 : Back Circle 137 : Stalls 352

ROOMS:

In addition to the two concert venues, with their own backstage dressing rooms, other rooms are available for use as changing / assembly areas.

Room 1: Situated on the ground floor Room 1 (33' x 24') has catering facilities and is ideal for meetings/ training courses of up to 35 persons. With its connecting door it can also be used in conjunction with Room 2 as a refreshments and buffets area.

Room 2: Situated on the ground floor, (45' x 24') is able to accommodate up to 100 persons.

Room 3: Situated on the ground floor, a smaller room (21' x 21') accommodating up to 20 persons,

Box Office: The sale of tickets for concerts and public performances at the Grimsby Central Hall must be arranged through the Caxton Theatre ticked office located at Grimsby Central library. Tickets must be numbered in accordance with the seating plan for the hall being used. The Organisation/ person promoting the event is responsible for arranging ticket sales at the venue on the day of the concert.

Stewards: The letting fee includes stewarding for both venues.

Refreshments: The letting fee includes the provision of reasonably priced refreshment facilities for both venues.

Flowers: We can arrange for floral decorations on the stage.

Car parking / Security:
A large floodlit car park with CCTV is adjacent to the hall. Security personnel are present on the car park between 6.00 - 11.00 p.m. each evening. A small charge per vehicle is made by the Local Authority to cover the cost of security.
